The local community will be at the heart of the academy, and will play a critical role in helping to shape the academy's future.
Welcome from the Chair of Governors
On behalf of all the governors, welcome to the Bobby Moore Academy website.
I am delighted to be associated with this incredible new school that will provide a vital foundation to help raise aspirations for every one of our students.
It has been wonderful to witness the progression of both our school buildings over the last few months. All of the hard work and preparation that has gone into constructing this inspirational learning environment has finally become a reality.
Back in April we welcomed Stephanie Moore MBE, founder of the Bobby Moore Fund, to view the progress at our two academy sites. It was clear that she was truly delighted to observe how the building work across both sites is currently developing. To have approval and support from Bobby Moore’s widow is a real honour for everyone involved in the development of this new Free school.
As we prepare to welcome our first set of Year 7 students in September, we will soon be looking for Parent Governors to join our Local Governing Body. This will be an incredible chance to shape East London’s newest academy.
Once our academy doors have opened, parents will receive a letter with more information on how becoming a Parent Governor can help the development of your child’s education.
The countdown to our official opening is now well underway. I cannot wait to meet our Year 7 students in September, bringing the Olympic legacy to life within this inspirational academy.
