Latest Parent Letters

During these unprecedented times, we understand the importance of sharing the most up-to-date information with Parents/Carers. We have therefore created this page which we will update with the latest information and instructions that need to be aware of throughout this lockdown period.

This page will only be accessible by this link so please add it to your favourites so you always have access and check back daily for updates before contacting us with any queries. For easy reference, the latest additions/updates will be highlighted in red text.

On-site Learning Provision

The current on-site learning provision is only accessible to vulnerable children or children of key workers. All other students / pupils are expected to access the remote learning provision. As a school we need to ensure that we can provide for our most vulnerable children, whilst also ensuring a safe environment for all.

We therefore ask that any key-worker children are pre-registered at by 12pm Thursday, each week to enable us to plan staffing for the following week.

Once a child has been registered, we will contact the parent/carer to discuss next steps. No students are to be sent into school until confirmation from us has been received.

We have had an exceptional demand for key worker places, including families where one parent does not fall into the key worker category. If this applies to you, and you are able to keep your child safe and supervised at home, please consider this in the first instance.

For those children accessing the onsite provision, we have a reduced wraparound service in each phase:

FSM Provisions

With effect from 18th January, the food hamper provision was replaced with a voucher scheme.
The £15 weekly meal replacement vouchers (via Edenred) are for children that are eligible for income related free school meals and who are unable to attend school during the lockdown period. These replace the current food hamper provision that was in place, but if you would prefer to continue receiving a food hamper (instead of the vouchers) please email us at
Voucher links are issued weekly to the email address that is registered as priority 1 at your child’s school - if you are unsure of this address, please check this with us.
To provide additional support during the transition to the Edenred voucher scheme, vouchers were provided to all current income related FSM-entitled children (consisting of one £15 voucher for week commencing 18/01/2021, regardless of whether they are attending school or not).
From week commencing 25/01/2021 onwards, meal replacement vouchers are only provided for those income related FSM-entitled children who are unable to attend school due to COVID related reasons.
For FSM-entitled children who attend school, we will continue to provide a meal on-site. This means that from W/C 25/01/2021, vouchers will be issued one week in arrears.
The voucher scheme is arranged centrally, therefore any queries should be directed to

Note for Primary parents: The universal free school meal initiative for primary children is not the same as income-based free school meals. Therefore, any primary parent that believes they may be eligible for the income-based free school meals will also need to check their eligibility at the following link
